RED EARTH NOW ON PRIME

I am an award-winning documentarian and host. One recent docu-project, Who Wants to Be a Millennial?, offers a lighthearted look at how the Millennial generation is hacking everyday challenges to live abundant, fulfilling lives. The pilot premiered at the Chinese Theatre as an Official Selection for the 2023 Dances With Films Festival.

I am also an award-winning filmmaker and actor in narrative film. My directorial debut, The Unknown Depths, is a cine-poem and elegy to existential crisis amidst overwhelming expectation in the contemporary urban landscape. The film premiered at the 2023 Sunscreen Film Festival and screened at the 2023 Silent City Film Festival. It won a Gold Remi Award at WorldFest–Houston International Film Festival and Best Director at Cineverse’s HybridGenre LA 2024.

In 2016, I had an idea for solving my city’s housing crisis–using backyards for tiny houses on wheels. To prove it could work, I built one myself. Out of a wheelchair-accessible porta potty. The result is a tiny house with state-of-the-art technology to keep the home 100% off-grid. The home holds two legal patents and inspired the creation of a nonprofit program. View the linkbar above for my housing experiments.

Past speaking appearances have included Teach For America, Los Angeles City Hall, LA’s Public Counsel, and keynote addresses at the 2019 California Tiny Living Festival and 2018 Peoples Tiny House Festival, among others. Curious about booking me? Click HERE.

My intentional living journey began in the strangest of ways–sleeping behind my desk at work. Secretly. I sublet my apartment for a month. But what was supposed to be a month turned into 500 days. My writing on the topic has appeared in LA Weekly, Salon, Yahoo! Finance, and a ton of other sites. Read them all on the PRESS page and learn more about the office living experiment and blog on the AUTHOR page.
